Bust is measured underarm to underarm and doubled. Bodice is from the top of the shoulder to the waist seam. Length is from the highest shoulder point to the hem. The skirt below the waist is cut very full. Handmade pieces may vary slightly. See for a diagram.
Garment guide
How we measure the dress, laid flat. Matches the Garment tab.
Across the front from underarm to underarm, then doubled.
From the top of the shoulder down to the waist seam.
From the highest point of the shoulder down to the hem.
From the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff.
How to measure yourself
Use a soft tape, over light clothing. Keep it snug, not tight. Matches the Body tab.
Around the fullest part of your bust, arms relaxed, tape level across your back.
Around your natural waistline, the narrowest part of your torso.
Feet together, around the fullest part of your hips, about 8 in / 20 cm below your waist.
Fit notes
Generous volume through the skirt and sleeves, so it feels looser than a fitted dress. That's how it's meant to drape.
Most people wear their normal size. If you prefer less volume, or you're between sizes, go one size down.
Tie it snug to shape the waist, or leave it loose for an easy, flowing feel.
Roomy through the arm, gathered into a cuff at the wrist.
Wear it tied closed or open with the tassels hanging.
